‘All alone when being alone is all that I need.’

‘Arcadia was celebrated as an unspoiled, harmonious wilderness.’

Tourists depart after the arrival of the cruise ship Arcadia in St. John’s Sept 19. I only stayed a little while at this lunchtime concert in the park at Harbourside Park, but only because it was raining, everyone was gathered in tightly under a tree to stay dry, and I was on the edge of the crowd getting wet. In hindsight, I wish I had stayed longer to listen to Matt Hornell, especially after heaing him sing some Evan Dando.

Tourist invasion

Any invasion of tourists in St. John’s is a good thing. Today it was a slew of people unleashed downtown with the arrival of a Holland America cruise ship.
